After graduating from Sheridan College’s School of Craft and Design, Ken Gangbar began his journey into the art industry with ceramics; primarily because of the material’s unique properties and versatile applications. Since then, Ken Gangbar Studio has branched out far beyond ceramics, continuously exploring the plethora of possibilities found within a range of mediums and materials from wood and steel, to glass, porcelain and composite resins.
Offering both indoor and outdoor creations Ken creates wall sculptures and suspended or free standing installations created with originality, uniqueness, quality, intrigue and flexibility.
Inspired by the cyclical patterns and intricate compositions in nature, Ken Gangbar’s installations experiment with abstract forms found in the organic. The result is a creative collision between the natural world and industrial environments. His works have been commissioned by private and corporate clients on an international scale, from Moscow and New York to Toronto and Kuala Lumpur. Some of his most notable sculptural installations and art solutions can be found in the world’s most prestigious hotels and restaurants, including the likes of St. Regis, Grand Hyatt, Four Seasons, Nobu, Fairmont, Radisson Blu, Marriott and more.
