Dan Nathan is a multi award wining filmmaker and fine art photographer.

His approach to photography is in part derived from his work as a director; his images are reminiscent of establishing shots. He waits and revisits the landscapes many times to find the most arresting angles, light and tone.

Throughout his landscape work, themes of connection and remoteness are at the forefront of Nathan’s mind. He travels to varied and distant environments, like an explorer always looking, searching for something unusual within the land. Working solely in black and white, he creates graphically simple, yet intricate abstract images from other-worldly environments.

His long-term approach is to continue this exploration, making visual connections from diametrically opposing landscapes.
